Embark on a captivating 3-day adventure to the Kanchanaburi region of Thailand, staying at the charming Home Phutoey River Kwai Hotspring & Nature Resort. During your tour, visit the Mon Tribal Village to learn about the Mon people's fascinating history and traditions. Take a scenic long-tailed boat ride to the stunning Sai Yok Yai Waterfall and Lawa Cave, guided by a local expert.

Explore Kanchanaburi's historic landmarks, including the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, War Cemetery, and the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, where you’ll learn about the region’s WWII history. Ride the Death Railway and visit the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai. This 3-day tour includes convenient transfers from Bangkok, making it easy to discover the best sights and hidden gems of Kanchanaburi.

Itinerary

DAY 1: BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI – HOME PHUTOEY RIVER KWAI

06:00-06:30 – Pick up from centrally located Bangkok hotels and depart for Kanchanaburi (128 km west of Bangkok).
Morning – Arrive in Kanchanaburi and visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum that tells the story of the Thailand–Burma Railway. Then, visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, a memorial to over 6,000 Allied POWs who perished along the Death Railway. Next, visit the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a key part of the historic Death Railway.
Noon – Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon – Visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre, which explains the history and hardships of the Burma-Thailand Railway. Afterward, descend the stairs behind the museum and follow the Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail. Then, transfer to Home Phutoey River Kwai and check in.
Evening – Dinner and overnight stay at Home Phutoey River Kwai.

DAY 2: SAI YOK YAI WATERFALL & NATIONAL PARK – LAWA CAVE

Morning – After breakfast, take a long-tailed boat upstream to visit Sai Yok Yai Waterfall & National Park. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings before returning to the resort for lunch.
Afternoon – Visit Lawa Cave, explore its spacious chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites, then head to the Mon Tribal Village. Learn about the Mon people's history and visit the Golden Rock, Buddha Image Cave, and the village school. Take a short walk along the River Kwai to reach a stunning viewpoint. Continue walking until you return to Home Phutoey River Kwai.
Evening – Dinner and overnight stay at Home Phutoey River Kwai.

DAY 3: HOME PHUTOEY RIVER KWAI – BANGKOK

Morning – After breakfast, visit Home Phutoey Peace Park and explore the collection of “Images as a Japanese Prisoner of War” by Jack Chalker, a British artist who was a POW for three years. Visit the Weary Dunlop Museum and see replicas of hospital huts.
11:00 – Check out and proceed to lunch at a local restaurant.
13:00 – Take a historic ride on the Death Railway Train, crossing the original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs.
14:30 – Depart Kanchanaburi and head back to Bangkok.
18:00 – Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to hotels.

Child Policy
- Maximum 2 children between 3 and 12 years old per room with 2 adults:
- Infants of age 0-2 years will not be charged for this tour.
- Children of age with no extra bed will be charged 6400 THB.
- Children with extra bed requirement will be charged 8500 THB.

- Depending on the number of guests on any confirmed tours, the correct type of car / mini-van / coach cannot be confirmed upon reservation. This also depends on the availability of accommodation.
- Transfers are only operated within Sukhumvit (Soi 1 - 33), Silom, Pratunam areas and restricted to main hotels only. Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 33 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply
- Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power
- The accommodation used during this tour is simple accommodation with standard amenities. This includes air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, warm water and swimming pool. Not wheelchair accessible.

- Any rejection of meals or tour program is non-refundable
- Deviations of the tour programs or time given may sometimes necessary depending on traffic condition or uncontrollable circumstances. The journey back to Bangkok may be later than 6 pm. Please make sure you leave ample of time when planning other trips / flights / trains after the tour

Cancellations must be made in writing prior to the arrival date. Penalties will be applied as per the following rules:

20-30 days before arrival: 30% of the total stay will be charged.
8-19 days before arrival: 50% of the total stay will be charged.
1-7 days before arrival or no-show: The full cost of the stay will be charged.
