BANGKOK-KANCHANABURI-The Legacy Resort - RIVER KWAI

Pick up from centrally located Bangkok hotels before departing to Kanchanaburi province (128 km. to the west of Bangkok)

Morning

Arrive at Kanchanaburi. Visit Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway. The fully air–conditioned centre offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. Visit Kanchanaburi War Cemetery which is a memorial to some 6000 allied prisoners of war (POWs) who perished along the death railway line and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place. Visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai, part of the Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs.

Afternoon

Visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre. The interpretive centre presents the history of the Burma-Thailand railway under chronological and thematic headings, explaining the rationale for the railway, the way in which it was constructed and the hardship experienced by those who worked on it. Then you can descend the long set of stairs behind the museum to Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail following the original rail bed. Then transfer to Phutakien pier and take a long-tailed boat from Phu Takien pier to The Legacy Resort  River Kwai. Check-in upon arrival.

Evening

Dinner and overnight at the resort (Not Included in the Fee order as you like).

Day -2

Breakfast at Hotel 

Let's go to Erawan National Park and Mega Waterfall. The major attraction of the park is the 7-tiered Erawan Falls with emerald green ponds. There are also several impressive and long caves within the park, some of them deeper inside the park, and a few of them along the roads around the park. The park and the falls are named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology. The top tier of the falls is said to resemble an elephant head.

Afternoon

Walking around orchard road you can discover the fascinating variety of the botanical world in the Palmetum of the River Kwai and enjoy yourself by swimming in the Palm swimming pool

Dinner and overnight at The Legacy Resort Kanchanaburi .
