Hop on this adventurous multiple days trip with your small group and explore Mae Hong Son and its popular locations with a local tourist guide. Spend quality time with the villagers at Mae Lana village and Ban Mae Lana. While trekking, look for rotational farming rice fields, extensive rainforests, and stunning views of the surrounding area. Hike to various nearby caves, including the well-known Lod cave.

Lod Cave has three main chambers: the first is a "giant pillar cave" with a height of 21 meters, and the second is a "doll cave" with various stone formations that also seem like dolls. A 2,000-year-old wall artwork may also be seen in the doll cave. A "coffin cave" is the third feature. Take a bamboo raft from a doll cave and then climb up to witness a 2,000-year-old wood coffin.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Pai or Mae Hong Son – CBT site Ban Jabo, Ban Mae Lana (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

• After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable ride to Baan Jabo and meet your guide at the location.
• Hike up the mountain to visit the local Coffin, considered to be a sacred site by the Lahu people. 
• Trekking for about 4 hours and observing the rotational rice farming system.
• Lunch: Enjoy a jungle lunch en route in the bamboo forest and have tasty jungle food.
• Evening: In the evening, meet your homestay families and the team of facilitators will assist with translation (1 per 6 guests). 

Day 2: CBT Tour at Mae Lana Shan Community (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

• After breakfast, we will continue hiking through the mountains and beautiful paddy fields. 
• In the late morning, we will arrive at Coral cave
• Afterward, continue the trek to Ban Mae Lana and meet our host families and check in to our new homestays. 
• Meet the Shan or Tai Yai people of Mae Lana and trek for about 3.5-4 hours
• Lunch: Have delicious lunch with your homestay families.
• Afternoon: Explore Mae Lana village with local community guides. 
• Dinner: We will have dinner with our host families. 
• Enjoy Shan dance performed by local students who have revived their traditions.

Day 3: Merit making-Lod Cave-Mae Hong Son (Breakfast & Lunch)

• Wake up for a fresh start in the early morning and explore around. 
• Return to our homestays for breakfast then depart to visit one of the largest caves in the north Lod Cave. 
• Lunch: local Thai Restaurant.
• Afternoon: Exploring one of the biggest Caves in the North of Thailand “Lod Cave”. 
• Then return to the entrance.
• Late afternoon returns to hotel or resort.
