Jawahar Kala Kendra
The Jawahar Kala Kendra, or JKK for short, is an international organization dedicated to preserving and spreading various forms of Indian culture and art. The Jawahar Kala Kendra, which opened in Jaipur in 1993, has become a popular cultural destination in the region. JKK brings together a diverse group of artists, artisans, scholars, art connoisseurs, and tourists.
Via a variety of events such as art galleries, stage performances, dance and music recitals, and seminars, the center displays the facets of Indian art and culture, allowing visitors to observe the intrinsic features of Rajasthani and Indian culture. The theme of the nine planets, or the Nava Graha principle of Indian astronomy, inspired JKK. The JKK also has its own Shipgram complex, which has six huts that reflect the rural side of the state and are the venue for haat bazaars, festivals, and fairs, as well as six exhibition galleries, dormitories, auditoriums, and an open house theatre. It also houses the Indian Coffee Shop, a renowned eatery among both locals and tourists.
The city of Jaipur rises majestically against the backdrop of the forts of Nahargarh, Jaigarh, and Garh Ganesh Temple. The bustling modern city is one of three points on the golden triangle, which also includes Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.
