This Half-day elephant care tour is perfect for the tourist to spend some quality time with the elephants and create some fun memories. Meet these friendly animals and spend the day learning about how to properly care for them with your loved ones. A hundred years ago, there were about 300,000 wild elephants in Thailand. But today, less than 1,500 wild elephants and 3,500 domesticated elephants live in Thailand. The falling number of elephants increased with the development of tourism at the end of the last century.

These highly intelligent and sociable Thai elephants began to become exhibition animals, performing in circuses or carrying tourists. These magnificent animals need the support of the people to thrive again and live freely! Therefore it is important for us to understand how to care for the elephants in an ethical way and protect them which is also the main aim of this program!

Itinerary

Transfer from your hotel in Phuket to Phuket Elephant Care.
Arrive at the Phuket Elephant Care
Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea with snacks.
Meet the elephants, learn some interesting facts about them, and how to treat these lovely creatures from the passionate guide.
Prepare fruits and health balls with the help of special recipes for the elephants.
Learn to make rice like local culture
Experience the happiness of feeding the adorable elephants and snap some fun pictures with them.
Next is massage time! Scrub the elephants, skin with mud in the large mud tub.

Phuket Elephant Care operates all year round, despite the rain and other mild weather conditions. Customer booking cancellations due to weather conditions will not be refunded.
Booking cancellations made 24 hours or more before the assigned tour commencement time are free of charge.
Booking cancellations made within 24 hours of the assigned tour commencement time will be considered customer non-attendance and will be charged in full.
Booking amendments made within 24 hours of tour commencement will be approved one time per booking without incurring additional charges.
